Raised Vegetable Beds

Back to the news pages...

The Wildlife Club have made a super start in planting the new raised beds in the Courtyard Area.  The plants range from a number of herbs, beetroot, carrots, peas, beans and salads.  We have also included beautiful Marigolds in an attempt to encourage the bugs to visit them instead of our vegetables!  There is so much to learn about growing vegetables and the children are enthusiastic and eager to learn more.  We are very grateful to the Friends for generously funding the project and would also like to extend thanks to everyone who kindly donated gloves and seeds, and to Jacquie Rumble for her help and advice with the planting.
