Countryside Morning

Back to the news pages...

Form II enjoyed a Countryside Morning in Brooke Village where they met Andrew Osbourne, Master of the Cottesmore Hunt.  Mr Osbourne explained the different roles within the Hunt and the children used the hunting horn to call the hounds.  They also saw a Golden Eagle and were very impressed by its 2 metre wingspan.  They learnt that he could spot his prey from a long way away as his eyesight is 100 times better than a human’s!  It was such fun watching the horses and hounds go off; everybody had a fantastic time.
