Anglo Saxon Day

Back to the news pages...

History came to life during Form IV’s Anglo Saxon Day, with a visit from ‘Edward the Saxon.’  After the sudden Roman departure, Edward was quick to jump in his boat and sail from Denmark to make camp in Brooke Priory’s library. He brought with him axes, spears, furs, tapestries and tales of Anglo-Saxon England and gave the Form IV children the opportunity to learn and explore his way of life. We had Saxon contests of strength, skill, speed and even a ‘battle to the death!’ All of the children enjoyed the experience immensely.
