Welcome from the Headmistress

I am delighted to welcome you to this electronic glimpse of Brooke Priory School and hope that once you have clicked through the pages you will be eager to come and see for yourself what a very special place it really is.

When my mother and I started the school in 1989 I don't think either of us could have imagined just how quickly it would grow, from an initial 27 pupils in a few mobile classrooms to the many boys and girls who enjoy the amazing facilites we have today. I cherish so many memories of sporting successes, musical achievements, drama productions and acadamic awards, not to mention the everyday joys of happy children immersing themselves in the excitement of learning.

More than anything else, it is my mission to ensure that the boys and girls in our care receive an outstanding education that nurtures their childhood.  I am passionate that they experience the world outside the classroom and continue to allow them to play, build dens, get dirty and savour the beautiful Rutland countryside.

HeadOur school community now stretches well beyond the physical walls of our building and I am thrilled that our Alumni are keen to keep in touch and share their achievements with us all.  I am always delighted to receive GCSE and A Level results and feel proud when I read of Oxbridge successes.  It was wonderful to learn that this year's Head Girl at Oakham School, Arabella Trower, came to Brooke Priory.  We have some notable past pupils and watch with anticipation as they continue to flourish and inspire those who are following in their footsteps: Stuart Broad and James Taylor on the cricket field, Willa Newton and Harriet Allen in the equestrian world and Millie Simmonds on the catwalk.

Expectations at Brooke Priory are always high, ambitions limitless and successes numerous.

I look forward to meeting you soon, showing you around and introducing you to some of our fabulous pupils.

Yours sincerely

Elizabeth Bell
