Independent Association of Preparatory Schools - IAPS

Brooke Priory School is proud to be a member of IAPS, the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools. It is a co-educational day school from 2+ to 11+ in Oakham, Rutland.

IAPS is an association dedicated to promoting excellence in education.  It has represented preparatory schools for 125 years and accredits only those schools which can demonstrate the highest standards of teaching a broad curriculum as well as maintaining excellent standards of pastoral care. Only the top 650 preparatory schools in the world are accredited IAPS membership and the Headmaster is a member of the association.

IAPS focuses on quality in schools to provide parents with real value in the development of their children. IAPS schools are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate under arrangements approved by the government.  IAPS assesses all aspects of a school including quality of learning, teaching, management, governance, buildings and facilities.  IAPS maintains standards in all accredited schools by ensuring that they are inspected at regular intervals.
